The Upstate Writing Project is excited to introduce a New Teacher Initiative called Fresh Start for the 2009-2010 school year. This Initiative is made up of 15 new teachers with 0-3 years experience who are committed to becoming excellent teachers of writing. Participants will attend 8 sessions where they will receive Ralph Fletcher’s Writing Workshop the Essential Guide.

Hi guys!  We have a wonderful continuity opportunity scheduled for February 4th at 7:30 pm  The Broadway musical "Wicked" will be at the Peace Center and we have reserved a block of seats.    The cost is $72 a ticket.  If you would like to attend, please contact me for the link to purchase your ticket.  There are a limited number of tickets, so for now, the tickets are only available for UWP, not for spouses or dates.

The Upstate Writing Project’s Young Writers’ Tech Camp is designed to encourage interest in writing through the use of technology. This camp is for students who have some interest in writing. Our inaugural YWTC is the Digital Story Telling Camp. This camp uses the students fascination with Movies and Film to encourage the development of an interest and joy in writing. Through Digital Story Telling the campers learn to share their opinions, appreciate others opinions, and embrace their imagination. The camp runs July 27th till July 31st from 9am to 12 pm.
