Young Writers' Tech Camp
Submitted by Jason on Mon, 06/08/2009 - 11:42The Upstate Writing Project’s Young Writers’ Tech Camp is designed to encourage interest in writing through the use of technology. This camp is for students who have some interest in writing. Our inaugural YWTC is the Digital Story Telling Camp. This camp uses the students fascination with Movies and Film to encourage the development of an interest and joy in writing. Through Digital Story Telling the campers learn to share their opinions, appreciate others opinions, and embrace their imagination. The camp runs July 27th till July 31st from 9am to 12 pm.

One of the favorites over the years has been the Writing Marathon in downtown Greenville. Summer Institute Fellows gather as a group and canvas the town as they gather material for new pieces of writing. This year, we will be hosting a Reunion Marathon for our Teacher Consultants from previous years. Join us in Below the suspension bridge at the Reedy River as we begin our morning with reading and writing. We will then break out and write through the town. Just like our SI marat
